The mission of The Ojai Foundation is to strengthen individuals, families, schools and communities by teaching ways to listen and speak from the heart, to honor life's passages and to appreciate our connection with nature — supporting the emergence of a compassionate, sustainable and peaceful world.

Our programs and retreats invite individuals and groups of all ages to explore community, live close to nature, find renewal, build friendships and celebrate significant rites of passage through ceremony and quiet reflection.

For nearly 30 years The Ojai Foundation has been a living laboratory of sustainable living, solar power and off the grid technology, with buildings of straw bale, earth block, recycled materials and other green techniques. Enjoy our Permaculture gardens, rustic yurts and domes, and close kindredship with the natural world.

The practice of Council is at the core of all of the Ojai Foundation's programs. The Center for Council Training (CCT) sponsors trainings, in-school programs and supports our worldwide network of facilitators.
